One of the most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex skeletons ever found
The center opened in 2005 and is a cooperative effort between the US Fish & Wildlife Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers. The 18,000 square foot facility showcases the wildlife of the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, the fish of Fort Peck Lake and the Missouri River, the construction history of Fort Peck Dam and the recreation opportunities on Fort Peck Lake.
We average 28,000 visitors each year. It is located immediately downstream of Fort Peck Dam and is immediately adjacent to the Fort Peck Powerhouses, Kiwanis Park Day Use and the Downstream Campground. The center is free.
